It may be a cold, rainy and windy English day. And yes, storm Ciara or Dennis (or whatever the next one is called) are attacking like never before. But, just think that soon summer will be here, with its mild temperatures and intermittent sunshine. I, for one, cannot wait.
If you are looking to make your holiday a little different, then let me suggest something that you may have never considered before – fly to your destination of choice on your very own private plane!!!
I know what you’re thinking, that you could never afford that, or that it wouldn’t be worth it. However, I’m here to tell you that flying private is not as expensive as you previously thought! Here are a couple of reasons why you should stop daydreaming and book right now.
It’s cheap!
Ok, so it’s not cheap – but it is cheaper than it was. Due to the recent legalisation of Single Engine Prop Planes, the flight will be a fraction of the price that it once was. These planes are also smaller, and can fly from local airfields, rather than just from larger private airports. This eliminates expensive airport transfers too. These small planes also allow for “dry hiring,” where you can hire the plane without the accompanying staff. This way you can hire your own pilot, which will likely be far cheaper than through a booking company. These planes may be small, but they have more than enough fuel to get to all your favourite European destinations, so don’t worry about that.
It’s convenient!
There is no arguing that the worst part about flying is all the queuing at the airport. Oh and the delays…. And the middle seat, but still. When you fly private, there isn’t a queue in sight. You arrive at the airport in your own time, drive straight up to your plane and, whenever you’re ready, it’s time to fly. With this method, you never have to be touched by a security guard and if that’s not worth paying for, I don’t know what is. You’ll spend the flight housed in luxury, and when you land, the same simple process happens at the other end. Before you know it, you’re relaxing with an ice cold beer.
It’s efficient!
Whether you’re flying with your family, work colleagues or a group of friends, the more people you bring, the cheaper the plane ends up being. And though it will be more expensive than Budget Airlines, you won’t have to pay for your seat, legroom or extra baggage. It’s all included in the flat cost. The plane is also far more efficient than a commercial jet. It runs on your schedule, so it leaves when you decide. There are no delays, or restrictions from Air Traffic Control.
